Ultimately, the goal is for you to become a reflective educator and a more effective educator. This of course will benefit your students.

Reflections make us think! And sometimes we don't want to think because it lead us to insights, or to an effort that today's distractions want to destroy. I don't want to criticize entertainment because it is part of our emotional health, but when entertainment diminish our critical thinking we must do something about. If we want our students to think critically we must be critical thinkers also. Through reflections we can realize the purpose and meaning of our actions, and the nature of our ideas. Also, reflections help us to improve, and to make changes where and when are necessary. One of the most important characteristics of reflections is that through them we can make appropriate, or better decisions; they are the fuel of great changes and new ideas.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with the reflections, it will help us in many ways. First, through a reflection we can analyze in order to make our own and right decisions. Second, it gives us the opportunity to explore our insight thinking and question our minds about our learning process. Finally, it will help us improve our flaws and progress throughout the course to become an effective educator.

I agree to make reflections of our everyday work. Not only to see the worst things that had happened during the day, but also to learn from there in a constructive way. To see if we as teachers need to improve in a skill or if we have to eliminatte or modify what we had donde during class hours. This also will help us decide if we really want to become teachers and if this is what we are really working on for the past couple of years.
ReplyDeleteReflections are great way to get our minds into thinking and brainstorm through different topics. It's a way to get your thoughts rolling. And I totally agree with Yashira “it is a way to explore our insight thinking”. Reflections allow us to deeply mediate in our insights and to explore more boundaries as we go along.
